An East Precinct retail theft mission resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise and numerous arrests, including one for an out-of-state homicide.
On Monday, March 18th, 2024, East Precinct officers teamed up with retail partners to conduct a retail theft mission in the Mall 205 and Gateway areas. The mission resulted in the recovery of $31,000 in stolen merchandise. An overwhelming majority of the stolen merchandise was tied to a theft from a Seattle, Washington Lululemon location. East Precinct officers were made aware of the theft and located the involved vehicle with three individuals inside, along with large bags full of merchandise. All occupants of the vehicle were arrested on scene and several large garage bags full of merchandise totaling approximately $30,000 were recovered from inside the vehicle.
