One Person Injured in Stabbing in Downtown Portland

One person was injured in a stabbing in Downtown Portland.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Southwest Park Avenue and Southwest Yamhill Street. Officers located an adult male who had been stabbed several times. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect(s) fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Detectives with PPB’s Major Crimes Unit responded to investigate. They canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance video. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 24-79813.
