The Portland Police Bureau regrets to report that a pedestrian has died several days after a crash in the Overlook Neighborhood.
On Monday, April 1, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to reports of a crash in the 5200 block of North Interstate Avenue. Officers located an adult male who had been struck by a vehicle. The individual was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
On Thursday, April 4, 2024, the pedestrian, identified as 31-year-old Cameron K. Giles, died from injuries sustained in the crash. His family has been notified of his death.
At this time, the driver has not been charged with any crimes or cited for any traffic violations.
