Missing Person Sergey Shirokiy Found (Photo)

Sergey Shirokiy was located this morning in Beaverton after someone called about a man hiding in some bushes. He was reported to be physically fine, but is going to the hospital for a precautionary evaluation. The Portland Police Bureau is grateful to the Beaverton Police Department for its help, and to the community for keeping an eye out for Sergey.

The Missing Persons Unit has been alerted of a photo of Sergey Shirokiy that was taken by a bank on July 9, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. This photo shows him wearing plaid shorts, a blue shirt, a green jacket and black tennis shoes. He is wearing glasses in the photo.

The Portland Police Bureau is requesting the public keep a lookout for a missing 77-year-old man who has health concerns and may be in the area of Mall 205.

Sergey Shirokiy drove off from his home yesterday, July 9, 2024 at about 11:00a.m. with the intention to run errands. He did not make it to any of his intended destinations and has not been heard from since.

Sergey has some early-stage dementia symptoms and gets disoriented at times. He also requires medication for diabetes.

His vehicle was located this morning near Southeast 103rd Avenue and Southeast Stark Street, so he could be walking in the area of Mall 205. Efforts to locate Sergey have not been successful.

Sergey Shirokiy is a Caucasian male, 77-years-old, 5’9” tall, 195 lbs, last seen wearing glasses, a cream button down shirt, light colored pants.
