Today marks 10 years since a homicide in the Woodstock Neighborhood and the Portland Police Bureau’s Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information about the case to come forward.
On Tuesday July 22, 2014, at 10:56 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to reports of a shooting at Southeast 57th Avenue and Southeast Harold Street. When officers arrived, they found Paul W. Krekeler, 19-years-old at the time, deceased. The Medical Examiner determined Krekeler died of homicide by gunshot wound.
PPB’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate Krekeler’s death. Anyone who has information about the case is asked to contact Detective Christopher Traynor at christopher.traynor@police.portlandoregon.gov .
