The motorcyclist killed in a crash in North Portland on August 7, 2024 has been identified as Nathan G. Vinson, 29, of Portland. His family has been notified of his death.

One person is deceased following a crash in North Portland.

On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 5:47 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to reports of a crash near the intersection of North Marine Drive and North Portland Road. When they arrived, officers determined there was a crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team is responding. North Marine Drive will be closed from North Force Avenue to North Portland Road for the duration of the investigation.
