The vehicle and driver believed to be involved in the fatal hit-and-run crash in the Madison South Neighborhood have been located. The Portland Police Bureau is no longer seeking information on the whereabouts of either. PPB would like to thank the community for assistance with this case.

A pedestrian is deceased following a crash in the Madison South Neighborhood.
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of a woman lying in the road near Northeast 85th Avenue and Northeast Fremont Street. When they arrived, officers found an adult female deceased from injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle that was no longer in the area.
The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate this hit-and-run crash. During the investigation, Northeast Fremont Street will be shut down between Northeast Fremont Drive and Northeast 87th Avenue.
