The pedestrian struck and killed in a hit and run crash on September 27, 2024, has been identified as Cameron Anne Barton, 37, of Portland. Next of kin has been notified of her death.

PPB has located two vehicles that might be involved in this incident. The investigation is ongoing.

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by at least one vehicle in a hit and run crash in the Hazelwood Neighborhood.

On Friday, September 27, 2024 at 10:04 p.m., Portland Police Officers from East Precinct responded to a report of a crash on East Burnside Street at Northeast 113th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian deceased at the scene. The driver or drivers involved left the scene and were not immediately located.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. During the investigation, East Burnside Street is closed in both directions between Northeast 109th Avenue and Southeast Pine Court.
