Traffic #ALERT: Freeway Interchange Closed After Serious Injury Crash

A crash that put one man in the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries is causing a closure of the ramp from westbound Interstate-84 to northbound Interstate-205.

On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 7:16 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded alongside public safety partners with Portland Fire & Rescue, American Medical Response, and the Oregon Department of Transportation to a crash on the ramp from westbound I-84 to northbound I-205. When they arrived, they found a single-vehicle rollover crash. The only occupant of the involved vehicle was critically injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance. The driver, an adult male, suffered life-threatening injuries.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. During the investigation, the ramp is closed.
