A stolen Ferrari supercar is back in the owner’s possession and a suspect is facing charges after being arrested by Portland Police officers in the Northwest District Neighborhood.
On Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:09 p.m., a Portland Police Public Safety Support Specialist (PS3) responded to a call of a vehicle stolen from the area of Northwest 10th Avenue and Northwest Lovejoy Street (case number 24-323327).
The caller, the vehicle’s owner, was tracking the vehicle and gave the PS3 information that it was at Northwest 16th Avenue and Northwest Kearney Street. The PS3 radioed to nearby officers, including officers participating in the Holiday Walking Beat, who arrived and found the vehicle at that location. The light green 2023 Ferrari SF90 Spider Hybrid is valued at $900,000.
Officers gathered information that two possible suspects had walked away from the parked vehicle, and the officers quickly caught up with them at Northwest 15th Avenue and Northwest Lovejoy Street. One man was determined to be the suspect who took the car and he was arrested.
Kevin John Miller, 36, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and a warrant.
