This evening, Tuesday June 17, 2014, at 7:27 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Northwest 4th Avenue and Burnside Street on the report of a stabbing.

06/19/2014 Gang Enforcement Team Arrests a 16-Year-Old Male for Gang-Related Shooting in May 2014

On Friday June 13, 2014, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) served a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Northeast 75th Avenue as part of a Gang Enforcement Team (GET) investigation.

16-year-old Devante Levelle Jackson was arrested at the home and booked into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home (JDH) on charges of Attempted Aggravated Murder, Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.*-..

06/19/2014 Crime Stoppers Featured Case #14-21 East China Lounge Shooting (Photo)

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in solving a shooting at a Downtown Portland bar.

On June 8, 2014, at 1:42 a.m., Central Precinct officers received a call of a possible shooting or stabbing at the East China Lounge, located at 322 Northwest Everett Street.

Officers arrived and learned that the victim, 29-year-old Denson Fleurima, had been shot in the abdomen while inside the bar.*-..

06/20/2014 Gang Member Who Stabbed a 13-Year-Old Girl Arrested on Wednesday (Photo)

On Wednesday June 18, 2014, investigators from the Gang Enforcement Team (GET) arrested 20-year-old Maximilliano Rigo Resendiz-Thompson in connection with a stabbing that injured a 13-year-old girl.

The investigation began on May 25, 2014, when East Precinct officers responded to Portland Adventist Medical Center on the report of a walk-in stabbing victim.

Officers contacted the victim, a 13-year-old girl, who told police that she'd been at a party at a home at Southeast 138th Avenue and Stark Street, when she was punched in the face stabbed in the back by a man at the party during a scuffle.*-..

06/20/2014 Crime Stoppers Featured Case #14-22 Casa del Matador Burglary

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in identifying a commercial burglary suspect.

On June 19, 2014, at approximately 4:45 a.m., a suspect broke into the Casa del Matador Restaurant & Tequila Bar, located at 1438 Northwest 23rd Avenue, and stole multiple bottles of tequila from a storage room.

The suspect smashed the front glass door then kicked out a wood panel on the storage room door to gain access to the tequila bottles.

The suspect stole 16 bottles of tequila after rummaging through desk drawers.*-..

06/20/2014 North Precinct Investigating Two Reported Shootings - No Known Victims

This afternoon, Friday June 20, 2014, at 12:40 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting at Northeast 81st Avenue and Fremont Street.

As officers were en route to the area, additional information was broadcast that a man fired several shots at occupants of a vehicle and that both the suspect and the vehicle left the area.

Officers checked the area for both the suspect and the vehicle but neither was located in the area.*-..

06/20/2014 Cold Case Homicide Suspect Extradited to Oregon for 1989 Homicide (Photo)

On Wednesday June 18, 2014, 59-year-old Roberto Garcia-Lopez was booked into the Multnomah County Jail after being extradited from Utah, where he was in custody on an unrelated Aggravated Murder conviction.

On July 5, 2012, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted Garcia-Lopez for Murder in connection with a 1989 homicide in Northeast Portland.

On November 28, 1989, Portland Police Bureau Homicide Detectives began an investigation into the death of a 33-year-old male transient, Kuen Yin Ng.*-..

06/22/2014 Gang Enforcement Team Investigating an Overnight Shooting in Northeast Portland's Parkrose Neighborhood - No Known Injuries

On Sunday June 22, 2014, at 3:37 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting shots fired in the area of Northeast 109th Avenue and Wygant Street.

As officers were still en route, a caller reported that her residence at 10934 Northeast Wygant Street was hit by gunfire but that everyone inside was ok.

Officers arrived and located the victim's apartment and found several bullet holes to the rear of her residence.*-..

06/22/2014 Three People Stabbed in Southeast Portland's Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood - Suspect Arrested

On Sunday June 22, 2014, at 12:37 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the Syrian Lebanese American Club, located at 11610 Southeast Holgate Boulevard, on the report of a fight and stabbing.

As officers were en route to the scene, additional information was broadcast that a total of three people were stabbed and that two of the three left the scene to go to a hospital and that the suspect ran out of the area.

Witnesses described the suspect to officers, who located him a few blocks away on 114th Avenue near Boise Street.

The suspect, 23-year-old Christopher Pantoja, was taken into custody without incident then treated by medical personnel for injuries he suffered during the fight.*-..
