On Thursday August 28, 2014, at 6:10 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to West Burnside Street and 10th Avenue on the report that a van crashed into the Portland Streetcar.

Officers arrived and learned that the driver of the van was traveling eastbound on Burnside Street, approaching 10th Avenue, when he apparently had some kind of a brake failure in his vehicle.*-..

On Friday August 29, 2014, at 11:34 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a large, loud house party at a residence in the 9800 block of Northwest Engleman Street.

As officers were still en route to the party, additional information was received that gunshots were possibly fired at the party.

Officers arrived and did not locate any gunshot victims, evidence of gunfire or cooperative witnesses.

On Friday August 28, 2014, at 11:41 p.m., North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team officers responded to the area of Northeast Jessup Street and Garfield Avenue on the report of multiple gunshots heard in the street.

Officers arrived in the area and located the remnants of a large house party just East of the location where evidence of gunfire was located by police.

No gunshot victims were located at the scene or arrived at any Portland hospitals.*-..
