04/07/2014 Shots Fired Overnight in Northeast Portland's Vernon Neighborhood - No Reported Injuries

On Sunday April 6, 2014, at 7:28 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area of Northeast 19th Avenue and Killingsworth Street.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted a witness who indicated that there was a large fight among some teenagers, next to Alberta Park, and one of the people in the group pointed a handgun into the air and fired some shots.*-..

On Monday April 7, 2014, at 12:24 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunshots heard in the area of Southeast 129th Avenue and Powell Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted witnesses who described hearing two vehicles driving in the area, with occupants possibly shooting at each other.*-..

On Saturday September 26, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau's White Collar Crimes Unit, in cooperation with the Office of Neighborhood Involvement and U.S. Bank, is hosting a community shred event, drug turn-in and food drive at Southeast Precinct, located at 4735 East Burnside Street.

Community members can bring up to two boxes or bags of documents to be shredded.

Donations of canned food, boxed pasta and clothing will be accepted and given to the Portland Police Bureau's Sunshine Division to help feed and clothe Portland families in need.*-..

The Portland Police Bureau's Traffic Division conducted a Vision Zero traffic safety mission on Thursday evening in conjunction with the Alberta Street "Last Thursday" event.

From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., officers conducted high-visibility enforcement and education stops.
