Crime Stoppers for the Week of November 3, 2003

November 06, 2003 00:00

Portland Police, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, are asking for your help in solving a homicide.

On Saturday, October 25, 2003, at 3:30 in the morning, patrol officers were dispatched to West Burnside Street and NW 6th Avenue, on a report of "shots fired." Upon arrival officer found an individual, later identified as 18-year-old Daniel Aaron Adesan, suffering from gunshot wounds. Adesan was transported by ambulance to the emergency room of a local hospital where he underwent surgery but later died.

Investigators are still attempting to determine why Adesan was at that location at that time in the morning, who any of his associates might have been, or anything else about Adesan's activities. Reportedly, after Adesan was shot and fell to the ground, several people ran over and went through his clothing and removed items, including his identification, which is still missing. Investigators believe there were witnesses to the incident who have not come forward, including two black males seen running from the area at or near the time of the shooting.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony crime, and you need not give your name. Call Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP (4357).
