  • Affects: lodging establishments with 50 or more rooms

  • Rate: 2% of taxable rents

Funds generated from the TID are dedicated to promoting and marketing Portland's leisure and convention industries.

Who pays?

  • Lodging establishments -- this is an assessment on the lodging establishment, not directly on the guest

  • A lodging establishment may pass this charge to the guest if separately stated on the guest bill as "2% Portland Tourism Assessment"

Remittance Requirement

Lodging establishments must pay and remit the TID fee to the Revenue Division Transient Lodging Program at the same time as they remit occupancy taxes.  TID Assessment is reported on Line 10 of the tax report.
