Getting from the Airport to Downtown

this map shows several good bike routes into Downtown from the airport; or, if you prefer, you can bring your bike aboard the MAX light rail to get you close to your Portland-area destination.

Ride 1: SE Neighborhoods

an easy bike ride around Se Portland neighborhoods

Ride 2: North Portland Trails

a bike ride mostly on trails through wetlands & wildlife areas

Ride 3: Big Eastside Trail Loop

A longer flat ride, mostly on trails, with some great scenery: the Columbia River, Powell Butte, Johnson Creek, the Willamette River, and more!

Ride 4: Short, Steep, & Sweet

a short but challenging ride through the west hills of Portland. Lots of climbing, with some great views.

Ride 5: Sauvie &/or Skyline

A suit-yourself ride, with either a shorter flat ride to Sauvie Island, a longer challenging hill-climber out Skyline Blvd in NW Portland, or both!

Ride 6: Northeast Ramble

A shorter, easier ride through the neighborhoods of NE Portland. Side trip toRocky Butte if you want some climbing.

Ride 7: Powell Butte & Springwater

A moderate flat ride through SE Portland, mostly on lower traffic streets and trails.
