Utility work impacts Springwater Corridor October 14-21

Detours scheduled for part of trail at different times.

If the Springwater Corridor Trail is part of your walking, biking, jogging or skating route, take note: Portland General Electric is upgrading electrical equipment along the Springwater Trail that will temporarily affect bicycle and pedestrian traffic.

Detours will be in place between SE Bell Avenue at SE Johnson Creek Blvd to SE 82nd Avenue; SE 82nd Avenue to SE 92nd Avenue; and SE 92nd Avenue to Foster Road.

Southwest Portland Sidewalk Infill on Arterial Roads

TriMet Transit Access: Bus Lines #44, 45 & 64

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has worked with Southwest Neighborhoods Inc. (SWNI)

to identify and select sidewalk projects to build with funds committed by Mayor Adams for Sidewalk

Infill on Arterials.

PBOT will advance $8 Million for project design and construction in 2012. The projects include all Tier 2 Sidewalk Priority Needs identified by SWNI

-SW Huber Street: 37th Avenue to 43rd Avenue

-SW Multnomah Boulevard: SW Barbur Boulevard to 34th Avenue (partial funding)

-SW Spring Garden Road & SW 19th Avenue: SW Barbur Boulevard to Taylors Ferry Road

-SW Sunset Boulevard: SW Dewitt Street to SW 18th Drive

-SW Vermont Street: SW 30th Avenue to SW 37th Avenue

-SW 11th Avenue on Marquam Hill: SW Gaines Street to Gibbs Street (partial funding)

Project staff will be available to answer questions and you will have an opportunity to provide feedback.

If you got the biking bug this summer and are interested in carrying into to the fall and winter months, join PBOT for this free workshop to transform you to an all-season cyclist.

Learn some tips from experienced cyclists on staying dry, comfortable and safe. Put this new knowledge to action with the with a easily-paced bike tour of sustainable stormwater facilities immediately following the workshop.
