Walking Treasure Hunt
Who doesn’t like finding treasure? Inspired by the Rose Festival Treasure Hunt, Oregon Walks will hold a walking Treasure Hunt. Four items will be hidden across the route between Arbor Lodge and Peninsula Park, whereas a prize will be offered to the 1st and 50th person who turns in photos of their findings! Participation details will be offered on our blog.
Sunday Parkways is partnering with Make Music Day, a free celebration of music around the world! Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique. Today, Make Music Day is observed in June in more than 1,000 cities around the world. It is the world's largest annual music event. Come join in at the North Sunday Parkways event at McCoy and Peninsula Parks on Sunday, June 30th.

Participation and inclusion in public celebrations is at the heart of bicycling the Portland Sunday Parkways that is why Sunday Parkways is excited to team up with Every One Rides again this year!
Every One Rides aims to provide another way for individuals, families and friends with different levels of abilities to participate in the event.
Every One Rides is a child-centric area for families who have adaptive needs to enjoy the streets and find the joy of cycling in the open air. Adaptive bicycles allow children to experience the delight of being on a bicycle while also gaining a sense of independence paired with belonging through physical activity.
Martine Sacks and A.J. Zelada, founders of the Every One Rides program, have assembled several parties who would like to bring in new bicyclists and educate families about what is possible when bicycling as a family.
The Every One Rides activity will be located on a quieter streetscape next to Harper’s Playground, Portland’s first accessible playground. The east side of Delaware St adjacent to Harper’s Playground allows participants to share adaptive equipment to cycle the entire block within a safe and controlled manner.
Adaptive Tech participants include Different Spokes, GoBabyGo, AMBUCS, Recumbent PDX, cargo bikes providers, NW Down's Association, United Cerebral Palsy Assoc.,Trauma Nurse Talk Tough, etc. Look for their booths next to the Every One Rides activity.
Every One Rides will also have volunteers from the Providence Transportation program as well as local Physical and Occupational therapists on site during the event to work directly with children. See you at Arbor Lodge Park from 11 am – 4 pm on Sunday, June 30th!
