Our Portland Safe Routes to School vision:

All students and families can choose active transportation as a safe, convenient, accessible, and desirable option for getting to and from school and around their neighborhoods.

walk bike to schoolA partnership between the City of Portland, schools, neighborhoods, community organizations and agencies, the Portland's Safe Routes program continues to increase safety and improve health for students and their families.

Portland United Against Hate logoSafe Routes to School is in solidarity with all families who are affected by the hate-fueled events that took place on the TriMet Max last year. We understand that this tragedy is not an isolated occurrence, and many youth frequently deal with acts of hate on their way to school. Safe Routes to School is committed to continuing the fight against hate, by adapting our programming to also focus on social safety in our streets.

We would like to share the statement from our PBOT Director, and Portland United Against Hate website for more information.
