Safe Routes to School, along with the Bureau of Transportation, is migrating all websites to www.portland.gov/transportation. The site is currently in a beta version. Reach out to us if you have questions or need assistance finding any information.
Our Portland Safe Routes to School vision:
All students and families can choose active transportation as a safe, convenient, accessible, and desirable option for getting to and from school and around their neighborhoods.
A partnership between the City of Portland, schools, neighborhoods, community organizations and agencies, the Portland's Safe Routes program continues to increase safety and improve health for students and their families.
We understand that many youth frequently deal with acts of hate on their way to school. Safe Routes to School is committed to continuing the fight against hate by adapting our programming to also focus on social safety in our streets.
If you or your student has witnessed or been a target of a hate incident, report your experience at ReportHatePdx.com. On this website created by Portland United Against Hate, you can find reporting tools, access to resources, training opportunities and more information about hate incidents.
ReportHatePdx.com takes you to a website outside the City system and is *not* a government website.
