Future growth: Connection to Portland's 2035 Comprehensive Plan

Unlike many HCN streets, the Comprehensive Plan does not identify SW 4th as a Civic or Neighborhood Corridor. SW 4th is part of the Central City.

Corridors Centers
Civic Corridors are Portland's busiest, widest and most prominent streets. They connect centers, help unite Portland with the region, and carry out key transportation functions for traffic, freight and transit.

Neighborhood Corridors are narrower main streets that connect neighborhoods with each other and to other parts of the city.
Centers provide the primary areas for growth and change in Portland over the next 25 years. They are compact urban places that anchor complete neighborhoods.
