SW/NW 20th Avenue from Raleigh to Jefferson

This project will improve conditions for bicycling and walking by slowing auto traffic speeds, reducing auto traffic volumes, upgrading crossings of busy streets, and creating new connections to existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure on or adjacent to SW and NW 20th Ave. The project is partially funded by $200k from the Fixing Our Streets initiative. Other funding sources are needed to accomplish the full capital elements planned. This project is proposed for construction in two phases:

Phase I20mph sign
Proposed project elements will include, speed bumps, signage, pavement markings, curb extensions, and traffic operation changes to protect the local, neighborhood character of NW 20th Ave.

Phase 2
From SW Jefferson to SW Alder using SW 18th and 17th Avenues as determined through the Central City in Motion project.

Preliminary Project timeline

Phase 1 construction taking place 2018 through summer 2019.
Phase 2 construction planned for 2020.
