The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is planning to make safety improvements along the three-mile section of SE Stark Street between SE 108th Avenue and SE 162nd Avenue. This corridor has been identified as a High Crash Corridor for all modes – people in motor vehicles, people walking, and people bicycling. We need your help in prioritizing what type of improvements should move into the next phase of project design. Thanks to everyone who came out to the open houses in late 2019/early 2020, or took the online survey. We will share a summary of these results soon. In the meantime, feel free to review the meeting boards that highlight what improvements are being proposed.
Safer Outer Stark Project Goals:
In addition to improving safety for all road users, portions of SE Stark Street will also be resurfaced using Build Portland funds.
To learn more about the project recommendations, view the open house boards or public involvement summary.
A draft plan will be released later in the summer of 2020.
