What’s happening now?

This project is about to enter the design phase.  

Project Background and Description:

From citywide outreach following the passing of Fixing Our Streets, a 10 cent gas tax passed in May 2016 for restoring Portland’s streets and making them safer, N Willis Boulevard from N Newman Avenue to N Chautauqua Boulevard was identified as a high priority project based on equity and safety. Further, this project is part of the Safe Routes to School effort, a program working towards the goal of all students and families having the opportunity to choose active transportation as a safe, convenient, accessible, and desirable option for getting to and from school and around their neighborhoods. Specifically, this project will be doing sidewalk infill.

Total Project Budget: $500,000 dollars funded by Fixing our Streets, and Safe Routes to School
