MLK / Grand Bus Lanes: SE Mill to NE Broadway Streets

What’s happening now?

The project team is finalizing designs. Anticipated construction: Fall 2020.

Project Background and description

This project will add Bus and Turn (BAT) lanes to MLK and Grand between SE Mill and NE Broadway streets, benefiting the 5,255 people who ride the Streetcar Loop A and B, and the 6,379 people who ride TriMet Line 6.

About Central City in Motion

Central City in Motion is PBOT's effort to plan, prioritize, and implement transportation improvements in the city’s core. Following two years of public engagement, 18 projects were prioritized through this planning effort and approved by Portland City Council in 2018. The projects include new pedestrian crossings, bus lanes, and bikeways.
