The waterfront path along the west side of the Willamette River in downtown is undergoing construction near the Burnside Bridge.  The construction project will bring a new plaza to the path and changes to Saturday Market, which used to take place underneath the Burnside Bridge just west of Naito Parkway.

Because of the current construction, the waterfront path has a detour that takes users around the construction and close to Naito.  Bicyclists and pedestrians should use caution in this area (and anytime they are in a congested area) as the detour is narrow with less visibility than users are probably used to.
