TriMet's new commuter train between Wilsonville and Beaverton - Westside Express Service (WES) opens for regular service on Monday, February 2nd.
Trains run every half hour and only during commute times Monday through Friday. The fare is the regular All-Zone fare ($2.30) and transfers are accepted via Portland Streetcar and TriMet buses and light rail.
Your reporter had the opportunity to preview WES this week. The riding experience is exquisite. The seats are very comfortable, the view of Fannon Creek and the Tualatin River are lovely, WiFi high-speed internet access is free, and travel time is a brisk 27 minutes from Beaverton Transit Center to Wilsonville.
There are five WES stops: Beaverton Transit Center, Hall/Nimbus (Beaverton), Tigard Transit Center, Tualatin, and Wilsonville Transit Center.
There are only two bike racks per train, but TriMet has added additional bike lockers at all stations.

Metro's Mary Ann Aschenbrenner is giddy from WES's luxurious seats.
