On June 21st, 51 young people came by our station in Peninsula Park and received free bike helmets and learned bike safety skills. Jordan and LeeAnne, two of our Safer Routes to School Ambassadors, led participants through a fun hour-long workshops that included helmet fitting, biking sizing, bike handling on a nearby tennis court, and finally a ride along the Sunday Parkways course.

A partnership with Providence Bridge Pedal, the Bicycle Transportation Alliance, Trauma Nurses Talk Tough, and the Safer Routes to School program made it all possible.
