I find that exercise is one of the most difficult activities to fit in to my day. I like to be active - whether its going for a hike or playing a game of pick-up basketball - but its often hard to find the time when I get home from work. And forget about the weekends, they're just packed right now! Luckily, my 11 mile round-trip bike commute helps me stay active and healthy even when I don't have time to exercise.

Now researchers have found an important link between "active commuting," which includes bicycling and walking, and health. The study was published in the Archives of Internal Medicine and was based on over 2,000 participants self-reported travel behavior over a year-long period.
