INTERSECTION SUPERHERO – 150 volunteers needed
What makes this position cool: This is the #1 most important volunteer position of the event! Receive smiles and thanks while you wave and cheer on participants. Express your creativity with chalk, music or another hidden talent.
Details: In order to hold this event, we must close over 6 miles of streets to car traffic. Help with participation traffic flow, answer participants’ questions, redirect neighborhood traffic, and set up or take down barricades at your intersection. Some volunteers will have the added duty of counting participants at different intervals.

Mechanics bring their own basic tool kit, a cell phone and are proactive about providing support on the route. We will provide a mechanic vest for you to wear on the route so you are recognized as a mechanic. We will have bike shops located in parks and along the route if more advanced mechanical work is needed.

Sunday Parkways volunteer activities are managed from several parks along the course. Volunteer registration and event info booths are located at each of these parks.
