Sunday Parkways needs you!
Opening Our Streets, Connecting Our Communities Portland Sunday Parkways closes down several miles of road in Portland neighborhoods and opens them up for walkers, bicyclists, runners, seniors, adults, and children to enjoy traffic-free streets filled with physical activities, food, performers, and surprises. There are SO many opportunities to be a part of Portland Sunday Parkways but the Safe Routes to School team would like to talk about just one particularly helpful opportunity...
VOLUNTEER!
Sunday Parkways needs you! Volunteering for Sunday Parkways is the best way that you can support this important community event. Safe Routes to School staff will be at each of the 5 events this summer providing bike safety instruction and training. But we can't do it alone! Over 300 volunteers are needed at each event in a wide variety of positions. You can volunteer for part of the event and then enjoy the rest of the day as an event participant. Most importantly, we need your help as an Intersection Superhero, to cheer on Sunday Parkways participants and to keep them safe at the event.
