Super Cool SmartPhone App from TriMet

Luddites, run for the hills!

TriMet today announced a partnernship with computer wizards junaio that makes transit riders lives even more convenient.

So we thought Transit Tracker, where you could call 238-RIDE or go online and find the real time arrivals for buses and trains was cool.

But if we understand correctly, this new application makes the aforementioned look like climbing Everest by comparison.

Junaio will allow users to simply point their iPhone or any Android device in any general direction and find the nearest transit stop and the real-time arrival of buses and trains servicing that stop.

That's right, no more of that cumbersone dialing of numbers or accessing your address book, just point the darn thing and it does the rest.

Download this application here.

Nice application for iPhones and Androids...what about alternate smart phones (which are better and less glitch prone anyway)? I have a Samsung Propel and cannot use this app. And please do not tell me to upgrade my phone.
