We are grateful that Commuter Central averages over 10,000 hits a month. Thanks very much for reading!
When we're not hard at work, here are some of the blogs that we're reading:
Portland Transport - Led by civic yeoman Chris Smith, this blog addresses a wide range of transportation issues. Don't miss this reader comments section for some intense Libertarian vs. Liberal transportation policy dueling!
Bike Portland - The bicycle blog without peers, Jonathan Maus and his small crew of reporters provide an incredibly rich level of coverage of bicycle issues in Portland and beyond. Bike transportation, mountain biking, road racing, bike fashion, transportation policy, and bike culture - there is nothing bike-related that Maus doesn't cover.
How We Drive - Written by Tom Vanderbilt, the author of the engaging "Traffic" bestseller, Vanderbilt brings an interesting national perspective to driving, biking, walking and transit.
Streetfilms - The impressive product of Transportation Alternatives in New York City. I often wonder how a scrappy nonprofit advocacy organization has such a travel budget. These intrepid videographers are everywhere - covering bus rapid transit in Bogota, full-service bike parking in Brazil, and bike sharing in Paris. Great quality videos. Check their sister Streetsblog for more coverage.
Bike Snob NYC - At every break, my co-editor Scott is snickering about some acerbic observation from the hitherto anonymous author, Eben Oliver Weiss.
BTA Blog - The blog for the state of Oregon's premier bicycle advocacy organization, the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.
