With the Bike Commute Challenge up and humming, we're happy to report that the Springwater Corridor construction from SE 28th Avenue to SE 128th Avenue is largely complete.
According to Portland Parks, some finishing work and installation will continue, but the trail is open to 128th. Please continue to use caution and look out for workers.
The trail improvement has included laying a 2” porous asphalt overlay over the existing trail, as well as other enhancements, including the replacement of wood and metal bollards in a new concrete band, replacement of trail and bollard signage, and new pavement markings, from the existing Union Pacific Railroad Bridge to the east city border.
SE 128th to the Gresham border will be closed for at least the next two weeks. See the Park's website for the suggested detour route.
