We recently completed construction on series of Safe Routes to School infrastructure projects at schools that joined our program during the 2006/2007 school year. Elementary and K-8 schools including Capitol Hill, Chapman, Chief Joseph, Faubion, Forest Park, Gilbert Heights, Kelly, Rosa Parks, Sacramento, and Sunnyside all received improvements. Funding for these projects came from a $500,000 grant from the Oregon Department Department of Transportation (ODOT).

We'll be featuring Before and After photos on our blog over the next few weeks showcasing our work. First up is Capitol Hill, a SW elementary school that ranked pedestrian safety improvements at the top of their list. Check back for more photos of projects at other schools...
