In 2011, Kyle Setzer joined the Sunday Parkways team as an Intersection Superhero and Mobile Superhero.  This year he is stepping it up by volunteering as a Superhero Coordinator – why, because he’s just an all-in kind of guy.  As a Superhero Coordinator, Kyle will assist staff in coordinating five Sunday Parkways and support volunteers who serve as Intersection and Mobile Superheroes. 

When asked why he volunteered for Sunday Parkways he replied, “when I moved to Portland I wanted to get involved in programs/events that made Portland a city I love to live in. Volunteering is also a great way to meet folks when you're new in town.”  Well, Kyle has certainly made his mark with us – he is returning as one of the top level volunteers. 

And what is Kyle’s favorite part of Sunday Parkways? “Seeing kids learning how to ride bikes (or getting more comfortable riding, I guess).  When there is a slight uphill and their parents are running beside them giving them an extra push...that's the best!”
