Southeast Sunday Parkways is Coming, August 26, 2012, 11am-4pm
On August 26th, Sunday Parkways returns to Southeast Portland for the fourth year. This year we added back in the optional climb up Mt. Tabor. You will notice from the route map that part of the Mt. Tabor route is two-way (over by Salmon) and one-way going up and down (over by Lincoln). And if you don’t want to do the climb, don’t worry we gave you an out – SE 52nd Ave. There will be fun activities, music, vendors, and food at Laurelhurst, Colonel Summers, Ivon, and Mt.Tabor Parks, plus Universal Cycles Marketplace. The highlights brochure has lots of information to help you plan your day!
The Hawthorne Street Fair is being held the same day between SE 32nd and 52nd Avenues. There will be lots of opportunities for you to support local businesses and enjoy live music. Also note that Hawthorne will be open to auto traffic.
With all the people coming to both Sunday Parkways and Hawthorne Street Fair we encourage you to take transit, walk, bike, roll, or carpool. You’ve got options! Check out the different resources - City of Portland, Metro, and TriMet.
See you on August 26th, 11am to 4pm!
