A month and two days after being installed, the Hawthorne Bridge bike counter has counted over 200,000 bridge crossings by bike.
The bike counter counts bike traffic on the multi-use sidewalks on each side of the bridge.
From when the City activated the Hawthorne Bridge counter on August 8th through September 10th, 202,653 trips were made by bike.
Cycle Oregon donated the counter to the City of Portland. The bike counter can also be viewed online.
