The Portland Bureau of Transportation provides a host of bike parking services to businesses and commuters.

There are more than 5,000 public bike racks in Portland. PBOT will install for free a bike rack on the public sidewalk in front of your business as long as you're located in a commercial zone and there is sufficient space to install it. If you frequently bike to a business that doesn't have bike parking, ask the business or contact PBOT directly; we'll follow up with the business.

Where sidewalk space is constrained, Portland has installed bicycle parking on street within the traditional auto parking lane.  These installations, often called ‘bike corrals’ accommodate 12 to 24 customers arriving by bicycle in 1.5 to 3 parking spaces.   Portland has installed 87 corrals to date, all of which have been installed at the request of the adjacent businesses. Businesses that want a bike corral on the public street in front of their business can complete a bike corral application form.

PBOT also has bicycle lockers for rent for $95 per six months in the downtown and LloydDistrict.  If you're commuting from further than you want to bike, TriMet has secure, card-activated bike parking garages in Beaverton and Gresham and bike lockers at many MAX stations.

Some Portland businesses have demonstrated their creative flair through the bike parking that they provide. To install an aesthetically pleasing, but unconventional bike rack (known as "art racks"), first contact Timo Forsberg at (503) 823-7699.
