Sunday Parkways at McCoy Park and Columbia Park Annex
McCoy Park will be busy with lots of activities come July 28th, 11am-4pm. There will be a DJ mixing family-friendly R&B, Soul, Rock and Hip Hop. During part of the time Sparkle Movement will take the stage and lead people in hula hooping and dance. Plus kids of all ages can play musical chairs. You can also play on the climbing wall, decorate you bike and pick up a $6 helmet. Bikes for Humanity will be there for free minor bike repair.
And make sure to stop off at the new Pump Skills Track in New Columbia (along our route). Test your skills on the burm, seesaw and rocks. Stop by and find out all about the great partnerships that made the track possible.
As you make your way around the route, don't forget about Columbia Park Annex and all the activities happening there. You can climb up into a Bureau of Maintenance dump truck or sweeper and get an idea of how bike riders disappear from their mirrors with just the slightest movement. You can also bring your skateboard or skates and show off your skills on ramps and rails.
Hope you join us - the day is going to be fantastic!
