(September 3, 2013) -- Beginning on Wednesday, September 4, sewer construction will close SE Division Street between SE 34th and SE 37th avenues for about eight days. The street will be closed all days and all hours until work is complete.
During the closure, eastbound traffic will detour to SE Clinton Street. Westbound traffic will detour to SE Grant Street.
The sewer construction is part of the Division Streetscape Project, a joint project between the bureaus of Environmental Services and Transportation to improve the sewer system, add new green stormwater management infrastructure, improve the streetscape and reconstruct streets on SE Division Street from SE 11th Avenue to SE Cesar Chavez Boulevard. Visit www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/division for more information.
The Bureau of Environmental Services works with Portland residents and businesses to protect water quality, public health, and the environment through wastewater collection and treatment, sewer construction and maintenance, stormwater management, and stream and watershed restoration.
