(September 12, 2013) –  The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that there will be an overnight closure on Saturday night of the NE 12^th Avenue bridge between NE Lloyd Boulevard and NE Irving Street to allow for a bridge inspection.

The closure will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 and conclude at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.  Only emergency vehicles will be allowed access.

Detours will be in place. Travelers going eastbound on NE Lloyd Boulevardwill be detoured to NE 21^st Avenue then to NE Irving Street and back to NE 12^th Avenue.   Travelers going westbound on NE Lloyd Boulevard will be diverted to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard then to NE Davis Street and back to NE 12^th Avenue.

The public is advised to expect delays.  We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe the lane closure and directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.   This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change.
