(Sept. 30, 2013) – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require a lane closure on SE Stark Street between SE 82nd and 92nd avenues from Tuesday, October 1 through Thursday, October 10, 2013, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
This closure is necessary to remove sections of the existing asphalt with a milling machine and pave with new layers of asphalt.
The public is advised to expect delays onSE Stark Street while repairs are being made. We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe the lane closure, directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible. One lane will remain open at all times.
Local access to residences and businesses will be provided.
This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change. The first stage of grinding pavement may be done in inclement weather. Paving needs dry weather and crews may work over the weekend, depending on the forecast.
