(November 8, 2013) – The City of Portland Bureauof Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require lane closures on SE 96^th Avenue betweenSE Market Street andSE Washington Street from Tuesday, November 12 through Thursday, November 14, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. 

The lane closures are necessary to grind down the existing pavement and prepare for repaving 1.88 lane miles of the street.  Repaving will occur at a later date when weather permits.

One traffic lane in each direction will remain open at all times. Local access to residences and businesses will be provided.

The public is advised to expect delays while repairs are being made. We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe lane closures and directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.
