Traffic Advisory: Traffic signal out on NE 82nd Avenue and Fremont Street through tomorrow after high voltage wire contacts signal span

(November 25, 2013) – The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that the traffic signal on NE 82nd Avenue and NE Fremont Street is non-functioning and being repaired after a Pacific Power high voltage line landed on the signal span today, destroying the signal circuitry.
The Transportation Bureau was alerted to the incident at around noon today and is making repairs.
Travelers are required to treat the intersection as a four-way stop until the signal can be repaired and service restored, which is expected to occur by late tomorrow afternoon.
Travelers can expect delays and are advised to find alternate routes.
