Southwest Corridor Plan and Refinement Phase
The Southwest Corridor Plan is a comprehensive planning effort to create livable and sustainable communities along the corridor between Portland, Tigard and Sherwood through integrated community investments in land use and transportation, including possible High Capacity Transit (HCT).
In July 2013, the Southwest Corridor Plan Steering Committee recommended transit alternatives for further study along with roadway, bicycle, pedestrian, parks, trails and natural area projects as part of the Southwest Corridor Shared Investment Strategy.
To advance the plan, we've entered into a refinement phase, which focuses on the transit while exploring funding strategies and further planning for roadway, bicycle, pedestrian, parks, trails and natural area projects.
During this, project partners will further narrow the the options for High Capacity Transit, which came out of the initial phase of the Southwest Corridor Plan, and move forward the most promising for further study.
