(April 24, 2014) – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require lane closures on NE 47th Avenue between NE Halsey Street and NE Sandy Boulevard from Monday, April 28 through Friday, May 2, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
One traffic lane will remain open at all times. Local access to residences and businesses will be provided.
Motorists and people traveling by bicycle are asked to observe all lane closures and directions by flaggers and use alternate routes if possible. Travelers are advised to expect delays while repairs are being made.
The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to grind down 1.14 lane miles of deteriorated asphalt in preparation for repaving. Paving will occur during a window of dry weather.
This work is weather-dependent and the schedule may change.
