One goal of the Northwest Parking Plan is to make parking more available for those who live or work in the area.
Beginning February 2015, residents and businesses can apply for a new Zone M permit that will provide two significant benefits:
- All-day parking in designated locations.
- Exemption from time caps and fees in metered and unmetered spaces (except 30-minute spaces and metered spaces on NW 21st and NW 23rd).
The new permits will update the current Zone M boundaries, which are Burnside to Irving and NW 18th to Westover. The new boundaries, which take effect in March 2015, will stretch from Burnside north to NW Vaughn, and from NW 16th west to NW 25th (see map). The current Permit Zone K will not change.
Details regarding guest permits, the number of permits available per business and more can be found on the application. Questions? Visit our FAQs.
