2020 Community Event Fees
Starting in January 2020, our fee structure is changing. If you have questions about our fee structure, please email or call us.
Community event fees are determined as follows:

Type of event – street events must be free and open to the public:

Type 1 Event: Event with no sales, admission fees, concessions, or compensation in any form and farmer’s markets

Type 2 Event: Event with ten (10) or more vendors with items for purchase

Type 3 Event: Event with less than ten (10) vendors with items for purchase and alcohol allowed in the street

Non-Profit host: Applicant holds 501c tax status and provides the insurance necessary for the event

Alcohol:

Allows for alcohol sales and/or consumption in the street area

Parking:
-
Fees vary based on metered or non-metered locations - please see below for more information

Ticketed:
-
Events that sell tickets to enter the street areas; fees are determined by number of attendees. Please note that ticketed events are allowed only if the tickets available to the general public

Expedited permit fee:
-
If your application is submitted less than 15 business days prior to the event date, there will be a $150.00 expedited fee

Application fee:
-
Before an application will be processed, an application fee of $100.00 needs to be received. We accept checks or online payments (we will contact you with a link to pay online).
Parking Spaces in Non-metered Districts
No parking bags are provided with your permit that you will place on barricades along the street to reserve parking 24 hours in advance of your event. The cost of each bag is $3.00. For a standard 200-foot block, you will be given 12 bags (6 for each side). For more information on barricade enforcement, please go to: https://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/article/290904
Parking Spaces in Metered Districts
If the event closes a street within pay to park metered area, fees are assessed for each metered space in the closed street area per day. The current fee is $16.00 per space per day.
