(June 5, 2015) – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require lane closures on W Burnside Street from NW 10th Avenue to NW 11th Avenue from Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 26, from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. each week day.
Both eastbound lanes will be closed during work hours. Traffic will be flagged through both directions using the two westbound lanes. The eastbound curb lane will remain closed during the duration of the project.
The public is advised to expect delays while repairs are being made. We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe all work zone signage, and use alternate routes if possible.
The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to repair the failed road base and stabilize the foundation of the road to prevent potholes and other surface distresses. Crews will also replace the bus stop pad with concrete for increased durability.
This work is weather-dependent and the schedule may change.
